Tokyo Type Director’s Club Exhibition

October 13 – October 31, 2014
Concordia Gallery & Buetow Music Center Gallery

The Tokyo Type Director’s Club is one of the most prestigious organizations in the field of typography and graphic design. Its annual competition is a touchstone amongst the world’s leading art directors, designers and typographic masters, and unique amongst its peers. It celebrates the spirit of typography and encourages and rewards experimentation into both form and language. More information can be found here.

Jerome Fiber Artist Project Grants Exhibition

This grant program, awarded through Textile Center, was designed to expand the opportunities for emerging fiber artists in Minnesota.

Concordia University,  St. Paul’s annual invitational exhibition, showcasing artwork from outstanding local high school programs.

Anna Metcalfe: A Living River

February 5 – March 4, 2015
Concordia Gallery

Metcalf investigates how art practice can be a catalyst for social change. Reflecting a concern for environmental issues: food systems, water, and agriculture, her work bridges placemaking and event-based art with a material focus on clay. A Living River reflects a collaboration with Wilderness Inquiry in 2013-14. This installation is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Kjellgren Alkire: Come In Over

March 16 – April 18, 2015
Concordia Gallery 

Kjellgren Alkire plays with North American cultural references to masculinity, mythology and community. As an interdisciplinary artist, he blends sculpture, performance and digital imaging to create narratives with complicated semi-fictional characters.

CSP Student Juried Exhibition

The galleries of Concordia University, Saint Paul are located in the Concordia Art Center, 1301 Marshall Avenue, at the northwest corner of Marshall Avenue and Syndicate Street North in St. Paul.
